ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ LAUNCHES PROJECT MANAGER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Washington, D.C. — ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ of America (ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½) today launched the Project Manager Development Program (PMDP). Covering the essential skills, tactics and strategies for successful construction project management, PMDP provides a platform for career advancement to early–career project managers or those interested in a construction career.

"ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ continues building on its commitment to create a work force for the future," said Stephen E. Sandherr, ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½'s chief executive officer. "This program is an excellent example of how our profession can build career opportunities for thousands of workers."

The curriculum is divided into five modules, each designed to increase project manager efficiency and effectiveness, provide instruction on the art and science of project management, and enhance professional development opportunities. The PMDP curriculum consists of:

Module 1: Estimating and Job Costing
Module 2: Contract Administration
Module 3: Project Administration
Module 4: Risk Management
Module 5: Leadership

PMDP will be offered at many of ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½'s 96 nationwide chapters, and can be brought in-house to construction firms or educational institutions interested in teaching the essentials of construction project management. For more information, visit www.agc.org/PMDP.
