ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ members, chapter staff, and educators who are involved with or interested in learning about high school construction career academies are encouraged to attend the April 22-24, 2009 Construction Career Academy Workshop, to be held in Portland, Oregon. are part of ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ of America's efforts to help provide skilled employees to the construction industry by introducing high school students to construction in a positive environment.  A construction career academy incorporates core academic subjects with construction-related courses.  Professionals from the industry are encouraged to partner with the school to provide materials, instruction support, mentoring, job-shadowing, and internships.  For more information and to register, please go to .  Contact Rockkie Dunton at duntonr@agc.org or (703) 837-5304 for questions about registration.
