The ��ѻ��ý Construction Marketing Forum was recently renamed the ��ѻ��ý Business Development Forum. The decision to rename the Forum is based upon the results and feedback the Steering Committee received from the ��ѻ��ý Construction Marketing Forum Visioning Survey that Forum members participated in over the summer. Years ago, marketing meant selling work. It was the common term for “sales” at the time the Marketing Forum was originally named. Today, marketing is part of the process of selling work, along with the sales function and customer service. Those things roll up to the bigger concept of business development. By renaming the Forum and focusing on the term business development ��ѻ��ý and the Steering Committee hopes to better encompass the needs of members. Stay tuned over the next several months as Chair Cynthia Paul, Managing Director, FMI Corporation, and the Steering Committee develops a strategic plan for the Forum, which will include best practices, tools and other resources that will provide value to your business.
