Last month, ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ Building Division leaders provided their expertise and insights at the Construction Owners Association of America (COAA) Fall Owners Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tennessee.
Sue Klawans of Gilbane Building Company represented ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ on a panel alongside representatives from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and COAA titled Collaboration: Let’s Talk About It. Ms. Klawans discussed how collaboration is not just a buzzword, but a best practice for ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ and its membership.
Mike Kenig of Holder Construction Group led a panel with Spencer Moore of MD Anderson Cancer Center on workforce development called, Workforce Shortage: Should Owners Care? During the session, Mr. Kenig led the discussion with the audience on how industry stakeholders can connect with each other to create meaningful solutions at the national and local level to address this important issue.
ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ and COAA have collaborated on several initiatives and have had a formal partnership since 2008.
